Why Canon is a Far better Pro Camera System Than Nikon

Why Canon is a Far better Pro Camera System Than Nikon

L-series Lens Line

I visited the Learnfest Photography Workshop for portrait photographers September 09 and many of the photographers were playing around with a Nikon program. This peaked my curiosity.I needed in no way definitely handled a Nikon before. Once i was going to school in the International Academy of Design and Technology in Tampa, FL for my Portrait digital photography Degree, everyone had Canons. Canon was able to uplink towards the Capture 1 processing program, and was recommended by every one of the staff (who are photographers present in their field). There is a student in some places with Nikon, but generally it absolutely was regarded the bad apple and none people Canon users went near them.

I had been fascinated to determine the amount of Nikon users on the workshop. I grabbed a Nikon from the photographer I needed befriended throughout the workshop so far. I have to admit I had been bedazzled by the giant screen on the back. I'm utilizing an older version on the Canon Mark series having a comparatively microscopic screen. When handling i experienced the identical giddiness of after i handled the newer Canon Mark series camera. Overall controls and handling were related and some functions were a bit harder to figure out, but using this first handling Nikon seemed to be on the same level as Canon. Was I missing a thing? Why were a lot of photographers employing Nikon? Should I make the switch?

Upon my arrival back following the workshop I began some investigation. I talked to other photographers, Canon and Nikon users, to discover what they viewed as pros and cons of the camera method. I also began considering products: Nikon bodies and lenses that were comparable to my current bag filled with goodies. It absolutely was then that I realized there is absolutely nothing Nikon made that has been comparable to my current lenses. I am an L series junkie (L lenses are Canons pro lens series).

Nikon does not have any skilled lens line. Their lenses are undoubtedly less high priced than Canons, which in expert photography isn't a fantastic issue. More affordable indicates less durable, which equals a shorter lens life. Although I have not had the expertise of shooting with Nikon Lenses, with Canon more affordable also suggests lower excellent photographs. I've come to the conclusion that Nikon users have chosen their camera system based on value. Their camera bodies are slightly less expensive than their Canon counterparts, and their lenses are all by far less costly.

Among the first things I was taught in class, though getting my very first pair of photography tools, is that the quality of the lens is the central thing. Don't skimp on lenses.
